I got into fantasy football 10 years ago after hanging out with my friend Johnny The Greek. I'm a graphic designer.I created all you see here, I'm the founder of both the Dynasty Football Digest and the IDP Guys.
I’ve been playing fantasy football for a really long time. When I was younger I used to play by using a spreadsheet and manually inputting scores by reading the box scores in the paper.I spend absurd amounts of time watching film on college prospects. It’s probably unhealthy, but hey, someone’s gotta write about all these guys right?I write about pretty much everything, but I love watching college prospects and projecting them into dynasty. I like finding late round rookie sleepers, especially at running back.
My gate way drug into fantasy football was a home redraft league 5 years ago. Overnight I could not get my hands on enough fantasy football content. So for 5 years I've been growing, winning, losing, and getting my wife mad for spending way too much time doing it.
One time I ate a tarantula. Two words: Hairy legs.
The articles I have found most helpful and fascinating in my 5 year journey has got to be evidence filled statistical op-ed pieces. So I'll be bringing you articles written from an un-biased perspective based heavily on statistical trends and probability. Think, Shawn from 'Psych' meets Jonah Hill's character in 'Money Ball'.
My high school friends and I started redraft leagues each year for the last 6 year's. Fell in love with it and made me love football even more. Over the last two years is when I started getting into dynasty leagues.I am an Oakland Raiders fan living in the heart of Kansas. Constant berating from Chiefs fans is what I live for.Best writing for the Oakland Raiders. Possibly moving into fantasy articles later on.
I first got the Fantasy Football bug playing free leagues, on ESPN--I drafted all my favorite Broncos players with no regard for ADP, or value. It was disastrous, but it made the games so much more fun, as I was always a geek for box scores, and fantasy football was the next level of that. Soon after, I started playing $ redraft leagues, with some friends, and I was hooked, after that. Some years back, Espn.com had individual fantasy correspondents, for each professional team, I was the fantasy correspondent for the Colorado Rockies. It was pre-humidor and Todd Helton & Larry Walker were smashing the ball out of Coors. I was just a pup, and it was an unpaid thing, but it was a ton of fun.I'll be writing articles about Fantasy Bestball, Dynasty, and Redraft leagues. Digging in on players whose value I see rising, or falling, and using social media to present info to readers, so they can take advantage of those swells in value.
Played in my first league on Yahoo when I was in high school and continued to grow with it. I have been fortunate to play in leagues with people from all over the world. Last year I was in The Scott Fish Bowl 8 where I connected with Natecheat and now I'm part of this great team.I got engaged to my wife at a Pittsburgh Steelers game. They lost the game. I won the day.I will be focusing on NFL Draft Prospects, Dynasty/Redraft strategies, and hopefully DFS picks. So far I have had the freedom to choose what I want to focus on and it has been a great time.
Been playing since 2002. Started in redraft, moved to my first keeper league 10 years ago, been doing dynasty for the last 5 or 6 years. Love everything football, trying to improve every year. Sad to admit I'm a Lions fan. Been torturing myself for close to 30 years.Husband and father of an awesome 2.5 year old. Avid golfer, rocking a single digit handicap. Seasoned sales rep turned sales manager.Dynasty. Redraft. Rankings contributer.
My best friend got me in my first league in 1999 at age 14. 2 years later as a sophomore in high school I started my own keeper league which has been running ever since. The high of being "right" about players and combing through stats and box scores is so far unmatched by any other hobby or passion.I was born outside of Detroit but have resided in the suburbs of Philly since the age of 2. For many years I was actually quite the contrarian when it came to being a fan of Philly sports and teams. However as I grew older and wiser, the teams, and fanbase that surrounded me essentially my whole life, grew on me. I am also a huge WWF (80s-00s) fan. So there will likely be many wrestling references and gifs accompanying my writing.Hoping to do lots on my hometown Eagles and also looking to cut my teeth on some IDP analysis. ADP analysis and overall team outlooks as well.
Been watching football since 1988, been playing fantasy since 2003/04 season, IDP since 04/05. Standard fantasy got old quick and adding defensive players was a natural progression. Nowadays it's superflex with full IDP (including corners and DTs) or all IDP teams (no offense) in redraft and 32 team dynasty leagues with salary cap for keeper leagues. Best ball on Draft App and FanDuel every week as well, it's become a problem lol. While football is my favorite sport I also love basketball (Syracuse and Celtics), soccer (Germany and Man City) and college football (anyone but Clemson). Star wars and Trek, Marvel & DC, GOT, WestWorld & PS4. Cat owner, volunteer with autistic kids and work with addicts. In the offseason you'll catch me shitposting and tricking my fellow writers into watching Brazilian fart fetish videos.During the season I do a weekly instant reaction and waivers article covering every teams IDP situation every week with snap %, waivers and trends, also a weekly sit or start for IDP during the season. Offseason I've been putting out The Greatest Defenses of all time series, defending Emmitt Smith and whatever else strikes my fancy.
I got into it with some friends and enjoyed it so much I decided to move to trying dynasty football leagues. Currently I’m in 3 dynasty leagues and in one league, I’ve won it 3 of 4 seasons.I went to college for a tv news broadcasting degree with the hopes of turning that into being a sports commentator, but that didn’t happen. My focus right now will be IDP articles. I’d have no problem going to the offensive side if needed down the road.
Around 15 years ago I heard some dudes at work talking about their fantasy football league, I had no idea what fantasy football was. Having never played at all, I joined their IDP league. No getting my feet wet, I jumped into the deep end never looked back.I am a Star Wars geek. I refer to myself as a Sith Lord and I somehow grew up a Patriots fan raised in Buffalo. Just let that sink in for a second or two. I primarily focus on IDP rankings articles and provide weekly IDP rankings throughout the season.
