If you’ve owned the New England Patriots DST these first weeks, you know how important owning a killer fantasy DST can be. More importantly, avoiding those dud weeks of single digit, or even negative, scoring. Point spreads, found at one of the many newly legal sports betting sites in New Jersey, as well as Pennsylvania, are a great indicator when trying to choose. We’ll try to point you in the right direction for NFL Week 4 and beyond to target five top fantasy DST options.
1. Tennessee Titans – Next 3 opponents: Falcons, Bills, Broncos
The Titans scored very well to start the year, then laid a flop last Thursday vs the Jaguars. I like them to rebound with rest against a Falcons offense that, yes, can score points. But they also can turn the ball over. Tennessee has a great pass rush also. After the Falcons come the Bills and Broncos, not exactly two offensive juggernauts. $ 2,600 on DraftKings, nice value.
2. Seattle Seahawks – Next 3 opponents: Cardinals, Rams, Browns
Two out of three of those matchups are fantastic. The Cardinals and the Browns both
are giving up big points to fantasy DSTs. Despite losing most of the Legion of Boom players, there is always a good chance one of their speedsters on special teams returns a punt or kickoff. Knowing what playing the Cardinals means, still not the most expensive, only $3,300 on DraftKings, a site with tons of great deals. Click here to check out UnitedGamblers Draftkings review.
3. Carolina Panthers – Next 3 opponents: Texans, Jaguars, Buccaneers
The Panthers will need their defense to play well now that an inexperienced Kyle Allen is starting at QB. I foresee some shootouts, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing for fantasy DSTs. Being on the field longer equals more opportunities for turnovers and sacks. The Texans O-line is terrible, the Jaguars are starting a rookie quarterback, and the Buccaneers are the Buccaneers. Only $2,300 on DraftKings, a steal!
4. Los Angeles Chargers – Next 3 opponents: Dolphins, Broncos, Steelers
The Chargers have some really great talent on defense, especially the defensive line. It hasn’t totally been translating to fantasy, but the Dolphins should be a great remedy for that. Followed up by the anemic Broncos defense, then a rookie quarterback in Pittsburgh. The Chargers are the most expensive team on DraftKings this week, at $3,800, for good reason. Hopefully that climbs down the following weeks for some better value.
5. Arizona Cardinals – Next 3 opponents: Seahawks, Bengals, Falcons
Bear with me, I know this seems a little crazy. This is pretty much a matchup/value play if you’re a risk taker. All three of these opponents are giving up a fair amount of fantasy DST points. I also expect the Cardinals to be in high scoring, close games against these teams. Again, ample opportunity for their defense to be on the field to make plays that *hopefully* convert to fantasy points. One of the cheapest on DraftKings at $2,400, this is again a high risk high reward type play.
