10, Non-Chalk, Sleeper Players You Could Plug-In For Large DFS Tournaments For Week 7

Thirsty 30:

I will list 30ish players that I am using as core players to make up my rosters for tournaments.

I’ll list twenty or so chalk players, and ten players who I think would make good, non-chalk tournament plays.

*Disclaimer-These articles sometimes take up to 24 hours to publish.  Please check the official starting statuses via social media, sports websites, or pregame shows, for the players you are rostering, as players sit/start, at a moments notice due to injuries, etc. and thus can substantially affect/wreck your roster.*

The picks below are specifically for DFS large tournament rosters, Sunday Main Slates, but can be inserted into cash lineups as well. They are in no particular order of preference.

DFS Tournament Plays:

I love the chalk, this week, as I’ve been waiting for Josh Allen to have his shot versus the Dolphins all season, but the six chalk players listed below are going to eat up a huge % of the ownership. If you play a guy who will be 1%-3% owned, and that player hits it big, you could totally dominate this week.

Jimmy Garoppolo: The Redskins are #2 in points given to opposing QB for any home team this year (The Cardinals are #1).  You can stack in a few other 49er players, who are relatively cheap (except Kittle) and still have a ton of money to gobble up all the stud/chalk RBs.  Garoppolo will be low-owned with some sweet potential for a big game against a not great defense.

Jacoby Brissett: I almost went Gardner Minshew, but I think Brissett and his WR corp have some great matchups.  PFF.com has T.Y. Hilton, Chester Rogers, and Zach Pascal listed as having three of the top five WR/CB matchups.  Like Garoppolo, Brissett will be in that 1%-3% range.

The Chalk:

Russell Wilson, Josh Allen, Jared Goff, Matt Ryan, Daniel Jones, and Lamar Jackson

As with the QBs, the Chalk will be hard to ignore, this week, both Dalvin Cook and Leonard Fournette will be very highly owned, with Fournette have the premium matchup versus the Bengals.  The possible return of Saquon Barkley and his home run potential will be tough to pass up.  There are some favorable matchups to explore if you’re trying to shake loose of the major chalk studs.

DFS Tournament Plays:

Mark Ingram: The Seahawks aren’t the worst defense versus the run, but they are in the bottom 5 for giving up fantasy points to RB1s.  We all know how much the Ravens like to run the ball, as well. Ingram’s going to be expensive and TD dependent. I like the potential big game potential he brings.

Frank Gore & Devin Singeltary: The Bills are playing the Dolphins, and we’ve seen in previous weeks how the Dolphins have the potential to give up huge chunks of points to TWO RBs from the same team.  Individually, they’ll both be in the top 10-12 owned RBs.  The chance that other DFS players will play BOTH of them is slim, especially with Singeltary coming back from an injury.

Josh Jacobs: The Packers have shown they are vulnerable to the run, and if the Raiders can keep the game close (which might not be that hard with all the injuries the Packers have at the WR position), then Jacobs can have a shot to get some nice stats.

The Chalk:

Leonard Fournette, Saquon Barkley, Chris Carson, Dalvin Cook, Kerryon Johnson, DaVonta Freeman.

DFS Tournament Plays:

Golden Tate:  The Arizona Cardinals have given up a ton of points to fantasy QBs this year; they also give up a bunch of points to TEs…and slot WRs.  With Saquon Barkley coming back and Evan Engram probably going to be a focus for the Cardinals to shut down, Golden Tate and his 90% of routes run from the slot will be a good bet to cash in.

Anthony Miller:  I’m going out on a limb on this one.  Miller’s stats have been embarrassing, he’s under 100 yards for the season, but the Saints, like the Cardinals, have not been able to slow down slot WRs.  There will probably be higher % plays at his price point (Pettis will be around the same price no matter what DFS site you use, ditto Preston Williams, and Allen Lazard will most likely be cheaper), but if you’re rolling with the stats, Miller at rock bottom ownership against a defense that gives up big points to his positions, is a tremendous high-risk/high-reward play.

Kenny Golladay: I always like it when the studs are getting ignored, this week it’s Kenny Golladay.

The Chalk:

T.Y. Hilton, Julio Jones, Tyler Lockett, DeAndre Hopkins, all three Rams WRs (Kupp, Cooks, Woods), and John Brown.

Evan Engram has the dream matchup versus the Arizona Cardinals, but his ownership will be sky-high.  With all this great chalk, maybe it’s just one of those weeks where being chalky isn’t a bad thing.

DFS Tournament Plays:

Jimmy Graham:  I’m not sure how many of Green Bay’s WRs are going to be healthy, for their game versus the Raiders…they could be missing their top 3 WRs.  Graham and Rodgers have shown they can be on the same page. The Raiders do give up a healthy amount of points to TEs.

The Chalk:

The usual suspects: Evan Engram, Austin Hooper, George Kittle, Darren Waller, and Mark Andrews.

Hopefully, this helps with some of your DFS decisions this week.  Good luck!
